StarWatch System Protects Phoenix Gas In Belfast

The StarWatch integrated security management system from Remsdaq has recently been installed at the Belfast headquarters of Phoenix Natural Gas.
Phoenix is currently investing £300m in a pipe-laying project which will make natural gas available to 250,000 properties in the Greater Belfast area. HID proximity readers have been incorporated throughout the installation.
Remsdaq’s StarWatch access control system has been implemented on 20 doors and various vehicle barriers at Phoenix’s 3 storey Airport Road West office.
StarWatch is capable of supporting access control, alarm management, CCTV and photo ID all from a single workstation as a seamless solution. Distributed processing and a high-speed communications network ensure that all StarWatch systems can process access requests within half a second.
The Phoenix installation has been designed and implemented by VIS Security Solutions Ltd., a Nacoss and ISO:9002 approved company, VIS are an innovative and respected installer working in much of Northern Ireland.
The company’s client base includes Deloitte & Touche, Ramada, Travelodge and Northcott. Phoenix Natural Gas has already laid more than 2,000 km of pipeline in the Belfast area.
More than 40,000 customers within the business and domestic market have made the switch to natural gas.
